Creative duo Merritt and Benjamin Monroy share a passion for handmade treasures, the color blue, French Bulldogs, and all things Halloween. Driven by love, compassion, and a commitment to helping others succeed, they co-own Local LEX Market, Lexington’s go to destination for local, handmade goods. As co-owners, Merritt and Ben have created a thriving space that supports over 75 small businesses—with even more room to grow. Merritt is the mastermind behind the vision, while Ben brings the strength and energy to bring it to life—together, they make the perfect team.

Our Story.
As a small business owner, I know how hard it can be to get your foot in the door, and the odds of being able to afford a brick-and-mortar store are almost impossible. Local LEX Market provided me with the opportunity to sell my products in a store where my regular customers can find me, as well as a place to meet new ones. More than that, Local LEX has also allowed me to be a part of a community where individuals can support one another and share ideas. This has helped me grow just as much as being able to meet my customer base. Being able to talk to others and bounce ideas around in a positive environment goes a long way in helping me meet my goals.
